Lower Tully State School is co-educational and offers
classes from Prep to Year 6. It is located in the tropical heartland on
the Cassowary Coast and is set amongst the cane fields of Lower Tully. The
school services the Lower Tully District that encompasses the geographical area
of Silky Oak and the beaches areas of Tully and Hull Heads. It was established
in 1932, and is located 13km from Tully and approximately 8km from the Heads
areas.
Classrooms are fully air-conditioned and
are complemented by two playground areas, a covered tennis court with lighting
and an activities building. The Lower Tully school community takes great
pride in the presentation of our school and grounds including the magnificent
Elouera Oval which is an exceptional sporting arena. It has been host to the eight visiting
schools in the Cassowary Coast Southern Zone for the annual District Athletics Carnival for the
past 10 years.
We possess
a great facility which serves our community both at present and confidently
into the future.
